Again, welcome to the Huntsville Metro Track Club web site. I am happy that you have decided to view our club information and get a general idea about our club history and our goals for the future. I will also share some of my accomplishments as head coach and President of this club. After viewing our information, we hope that you will be encouraged to join our club. We have many athletes who participated with our club and received track scholarships from colleges and universities throughout the USA. Looking forward to having you on our club. We welcome all athletes regardless of their race, creed or color.

As the former head coach for women’s track and field at Alabama A&M University, I have been a major force in state athletics for decades. After leading a program that has produced seven Olympians and earned me induction into the Huntsville-Madison County Athletic Hall of Fame, I decided to bring my skill and expertise to the Huntsville Metro Track Club.

The Huntsville Metro Track Club is the largest track club in northern Alabama and facilitates the athletic development of boys and girls who are serious about running competitively. Participation in this track club provides a great opportunity for athletic competition, and it also puts young people on a track where they can earn scholarships to colleges and universities throughout the United States.

I and the rest of my track club staff are well-versed in the art of track and field. In fact, many of the coaches under me have experience specific to certain events, such as cross-country and road racing.

The track club works with you off the track as well, putting together their resources with yours to pay training- and event-related fees and travel costs. Through fundraisers, parents and youth work together to defray the cost of the valuable investment of getting involved in track. Huntsville Metro Track Club strives to be a team in the fullest sense!
